Heirloom Basketweave Afghan Blanket

One-of-a-kind, nature inspired basketweave handknitted afghan is a gourmet blend of high quality and exotic fibers. Wool, silk, cashmere, rayon cotton. My inspiration came from a boulder siting during a walk on the beach. I noticed that the stone had viening and coloring similar to the natural fibers in my yarn collection. So I strategically combined four different fibers, and a variety colors germaine to the colorways of the boulder. Knitted it in a textured basketweave pattern, accenuated it with free style surface crochet applications to replicate the look of that lovely, textured rock formation. The result?
