Beautifully hand textured recycled silk from Nepal, hemp and cotton afghan embellished with 24 inches of hemp and cotton fringe. This unconventional blend of polar opposite fibers adds an eclectic aesthetic. This Afghan is special to me because of it's organic properties and the combining of the finest natural fibers felt so great to work with. Also, the silk fiber was handspun by the women of Indonesia and Nepal. My use of their fibers has created a win-win for all. I get to make beautiful hand made home accents and contribute to the economy of two ompoverished countries which in turn provides work the people of Nepal and Indonesia, especially giving a platform for the female population to provide a decent living for themselves and their families.
